We had a big day at Disneyland. Indiana Jones Adventure ride was the best! Couldn't find the restaurants we wanted to try and ended up eating hot dogs in Toon Town. I got sick on the Space Mountain ride which kinda put a damper on the rest of the day. Lost my fanny pack that had my new stupid smart phone, credit card and driver's license in it. Got it back at the lost and found. We went to bed before 8:00 and slept so sound that neither of us heard the fireworks last night.

The San Diego Zoo

This zoo is part of the huge and amazing Balboa Park and uses 100 acres of the park.  It houses over 3,700 animals of more than 650 species.  My favorite part of the zoo is the 4 aviaries.

San Diego Balboa Park

This was built in 1915 and is one of the largest lath structures in the world.  It houses more than 1,200 permanent plants.

There are 41 different art studios in the village.  All are local artists.  The quaint buildings and courtyards that make up the Spanish Village were originally built in 1935 to depict a charming old Spanish village in Spain for the second California Pacific International Exposition in 1937.

Southern California

We moved to Alpine, California and we're staying on Viejas Indian Reservation at a campground called Ma-Tar-Awa.  We like it because the camp sites are spread out and there's a lot of big trees here.  Also it's only a 40 minute drive to San Diego, and the town of Alpine has a lot of conveniences in it.  It's been really windy since we've been here because of the Satna Ana winds.  Because of the Santa Ana winds also makes San Diego warmer.  We went into town today and it was 80 degrees.  I wished I had worn shorts.

Our camp at Ma-Tar-Awa.

In c we went to Balboa Park and Seaport Village.  Balboa Park is HUGE!  We couldn't go inside any of the museums because we had Hercules with us.  We also just walked around in the Seaport Village and didn't go into the shops.  We plan to go back into San Diego several more times while we're here.  At this time, we plan to be here for 8 more days.

Yuma, Arizona

We spent a week in the Arizona West RV park so Tom could get one of his broken teeth fixed in Algadonis, Mexico.  We made three trips across the border to get the whole thing done.  It turned out that he needed a root canal, a build up and a crown.  The whole thing ended up costing only $410.  It was kinda cold and windy while we were in Yuma, but nothing like back home.  It was really nice in the sun, but cold in the shade.

Our camp in Yuma was a bit cramped, but I liked it because it
had palm trees.
