After our release from prison, we celebrated with date shakes at Martha's Garden Date Farm.

Yuma Territorial Prison

Views from the prison

We toured the prison with our new friends Ken and Vicki King from Arkansas

The museum has a really nice little theater where we watched a video about the prison.

The dark cell.  A small colony of bats live there

A real meany.  This mirror was used to get both a frontal and profile in one shot.

Coronado National Memorial

This park is just south of Sierra Vista, AZ and right along the Mexican Border.  We took the trail up to Coronado Cave.

The uphill trail to the cave.

The desert spoon plant.

Cave entrance

It was hard climbing down into the cave.  I didn't make it all the way, but Tom did.

Different colors of light from reflecting off the rocks.

Faraway Ranch is part of Chiricahua National Monument

In 1886 the ranch was first purchased as a 2-bedroom cabin on a homestead of 160 acres. In 1915 the 2 story house was built.

In 1923 the property became a guest ranch.

The house was purchased by the National Park Service which included the original furnishings. —

What once was a porch was turned
